Where to ride

One of the nicest rides in the area is through the Kettle Moraine State Forest east of Whitewater.
Every Thursday evening, Mary Jarosz leads a women’s bicycle ride along the scenic, rolling rural roadways.
Riders meet at 6 p.m. at the LaGrange General Store for a roughly 20-mile ride.
Over the summer, the distance and pace increases, but shorter distances and slower-paced rides are available, too.
Jarosz says the rides follow local back roads, so road bikes work the best.
A helmet, water, snacks and biking clothes also are needed.
