Women looking for wellness and relaxation all in one place will be heading to Lake Geneva for the annual Women’s Resource Fair, March 6-7.

The fair features lectures and demonstrations focusing on holistic health and wellness, retreats, spas, organic foods, green home and organic gardening, empowerment and counseling, bodywork, movement and education.

“By nature I’m a marketer and an event planner,” coordinator Tracy McHugh said. “And I’m a women who has a very strong interest in alternative lifestyles and holistic medicine.”

The resource fair will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 6, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 7 at the Bella Vista Suites, located at 335 Wrigley Drive in Lake Geneva. Admission is $10, or $5 with a donation of two non-perishable food items.

Carolyn Gable will give the keynote address at 4:30 p.m. March 6. Gable proves that dreams can be achieved, when she presents  “Everything I Know as a CEO, I Learned as a Waitress.”

She’s gone from waitress to beautician to founder and CEO of a multi-million dollar third-party logistics company.

Gable also is a single mother with seven kids, and founder of the Expect A Miracle Foundation, a visionary foundation serving the needs of single parents and their children.

This year, the Women’s Resource Fair Lake Geneva has partnered with The Association for the Prevention of Family Violence, a nonprofit organization providing help for abuse in Walworth County through shelter referrals, children’s services, support groups, counseling, legal advocacy and a 24-hour help line.

The APFV will provide information about their organization and sell raffle tickets for gift baskets. All proceeds will be donated to The Association for the Prevention of Family Violence.
