Detailed Itinerary

Friday:
Check in at the TimberRidge Lodge at the Grand Geneva Resort and enjoy the fun at the TimberRidge Lodge's Moose Mountain Falls, an indoor/outdoor water park. Book a "Pizza and a Movie" package and enjoy a two-topping take-out pizza from the Hungry Moose and a DVD movie of your choice & relax in your suite for the evening. You'll want to get to bed early so you can get up early for the Walworth County Dairy Breakfast at the Walworth County Fairgrounds.

Saturday:
Rise and shine. You're heading to the Walworth County Dairy Breakfast in nearby Elkhorn. Held at the Walworth County Fairgrounds, the Dairy Breakfast features farm fresh breakfast goodies such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, milk and cheese, yogurt coffee cake, and ice cream sundaes for dessert. Other events include milk chugging, craft fair/sale, cow milking, live entertainment, cow pie bingo, door prizes, educational exhibits, antique tractor display and small animal display for the kids.

From there, continue on to Old World Wisconsin in nearby Eagle and discover Wisconsin in the late 19th century, when waves of immigrants came to America's heartland in search of a better life. There are hands-on activities for kids and adults alike including feeding the livestock, playing games of chance, helping with farming chores or even churning butter! Located in the beautiful Kettle Moraine Forest, Old World Wisconsin is a great way to spend an afternoon. Lunch is available cafeteria style at the Clausing Barn Restaurant.

Head back to Lake Geneva for an ice cream boost at Skoops, located just steps away from the Riviera Docks. Skoops offers friendly service and all sorts of ice cream treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. Take a walk around downtown Lake Geneva and experience some of the city's unique shopping destinations. The kids will love Main Street Memories on Main Street. They offer a variety of nostalgic games, toys and old-fashioned candy. Visit Global Hands on Center Street. Global Hands is a new Fair Trade retail shop offering food, clothing, crafts and jewelry from over 32 different countries. All of what Global Hands has to offer is provided by farmers, artisans and workers who represent partners in the global Fair Trade movement.

Before you round up the kids for dinner, take a minute to stroll along the lakefront walkway or sit on a park bench in Library Park and take in the sights and sounds of beautiful Geneva Lake. Dinner takes you back to the TimberRidge Lodge and Smokey's Bar-B-Que House for a menu that includes barbeque, salads and steaks. Kid's menu is available. If you and the kids are not completely tuckered out, head back to Moose Mountain Falls or relax in the whirlpool in your suite.

Sunday:
Sleep in and relax. Once everyone is up and ready to go and you've checked out of your lodgings, head back to Lake Geneva and the Egg Harbor Cafe on Main Street. Opening at 6:30am, Egg Harbor serves breakfast until 2:00pm. Pancakes, omelets and frittatas are just a few of the offerings on their menu. From there, take a short drive north of Lake Geneva to Pedal and Cup in Springfield, a historic train depot. Rent bikes for the family and head out on the White River Bike Trail. On your return, treat the family to ice cream before heading back into Lake Geneva for a visit to the Lake Geneva beach. What better way to let everyone cool off after a bike ride!

Before you hit the beach, grab some sandwiches and drinks to go at Potbelly Sandwich Works on Main Street. Picnic in Library Park, change into your bathing suits in the locker rooms at the Riviera Docks and soak up the sun on the shores of Geneva Lake.

Before you know it, it's time to brush the sand from your toes, pack up and head for home after an eventful family vacation in beautiful Walworth County. We're in your backyard!
