For lunch, head to downtown Elkhorn and the quaint Wildflower Café. They offer a delightful combination of salads, sandwiches, quiches and other dishes. After lunch, head back to Lake Geneva to wander around town viewing the ponies of the Horsing-Around-Town exhibit. Benefiting SMILES, a therapeutic and recreational horsemanship program for children and adults with disabilities. Artists have transformed each of the 80 horses into works of art that are placed around Lake Geneva all summer. Stop by Kilwin's for a chocolate pick-me-up and explore the unique shopping experiences that Lake Geneva has to offer. Soon, it is time to head back to your lodgings to change for dinner. Tonight, you will visit the beautiful Abbey Resort in Fontana to dine at The Waterfront. This recently redesigned Cape Hatteras inspired restaurant and bar is relaxed and hassle free offering floor to ceiling windows with a Harbor view and seasonal outdoor seating. Head back to your lodgings to enjoy the remainder of your evening in the outside seating area at Kirsch's for a quiet nightcap. Your trip continues with a busy day for Saturday. Enjoy the complimentary breakfast at your lodgings or head to Scuttlebutt's in Lake Geneva to enjoy breakfast while overlooking Geneva Lake. Scuttlebutt's specialty is Swedish pancakes but they also offer a variety of omelettes and other egg dishes, as well as French toast and Belgian waffles. The day continues with a short walk to the Art in the Park celebration, a juried art fair attracting artists from throughout the United States. From jewelry to paintings to photography, there is a wealth of art to enjoy while strolling along the lakefront in Library Park. Stroll into Caribou Coffee for a refreshing iced latte or if you are ready for lunch, drop in at Houlihan's and experience their variety of sandwiches, salads and dinner fare. From there, take a walk down Main Street to the Geneva Lake Art Association to view their showing of "Celebrating Birds and Flowers", an art exhibit that showcases area artists' works. Your Saturday concludes with dinner at the elegant Frontier Restaurant and Lounge at the Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan. The Frontier features fabulous fare from local legend David Ross - what fine dining in Wisconsin should be-- and spectacular views of the property. Kick Sunday morning off with a visit to the Grand Geneva Resort's Grand Café. They serve an extensive breakfast/brunch buffet.
