Country With Character-Fall Extravaganza

Rolling countryside, charming towns, posh resorts, a relaxing atmosphere, and an abundance of attractions and outdoor activities combine to make Walworth County, WI an ideal destination for a quick getaway or overnight stay.  And there’s no better time to discover Walworth County then during Country with Character, a fall extravaganza taking place September 13 through October 26.

Walworth County is flush with recreational activities, special events, festivals, nature areas, retail shopping, agricultural opportunities and one-of-a-kind attractions. You’ll find a cornucopia of dining and lodging choices at your disposal.

Take part in a special farm tour during Country with Character as area farms open their barn doors to visitors on select dates.  The tour will also feature breakfast on the farm and a harvest festival presented by Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in East Troy.  To celebrate area agriculture and local cuisine, local chefs are planning menus utilizing ingredients indigenous to Walworth County.  Food just doesn’t get fresher!

Whether its apple picking; exploring the magnificent estates in Lake Geneva; enjoying apple pie baked in a paper bag; riding the rails through the countryside on a restored electric street car; hitting the links;  or careening down one of the Midwest’s top trails for mountain biking; Walworth County offers a bushel of fall pursuits for all ages and interests.
